Understanding Human Emotions and Moods
The starting point for our discussion of managing moods is understanding the nature of the human mind, emotions, and moods. Often during very stressful times, people can be overwhelmed, confused, or perplexed regarding what is happening to them. In this first part of the book, you will become aware of your unique emotional self. You’ll see what your particular emotional “buttons” are, and we’ll focus on developing an attitude of compassion for yourself, especially when going through difficult times.
The chapters in Part 1 set the stage for understanding the moods and emotions that will be necessary before planning coping strategies.
