Managers must treat the search for new employees as one of their most important activities. And indeed it is!

Think about the interview process for a minute. If you choose the right people, you have the opportunity to coach them to excellence so they can help you reach your own goals as well as those of the company. If you don’t choose the right people, you waste your time and theirs, because you endanger your ability to reach your goals and you divert the new hires from finding a position in which they could be successful (it’s just may not be in your company).
