One common reason for creating reports for views is to allow them to be generated automatically on a schedule.

Scheduling reports can bring the following benefits to administrators:

• Allows views and data to be easily captured at a point in time and sent to interested stakeholders
• Allows for CSV copies of information to be sent to external systems that might also inject the data for their own requirements
• Allows different tailored reports to be sent to different teams, such as capacity management, on a regular basis without the need to log in to vRealize Operations

When setting up a scheduled report, the easiest way is to find the object in the environment and select the reports tab. From there, an administrator can select the relevant report template and under Actions, select schedule report.
