The Getting Started dashboard is a guide to answering the most frequently asked questions from your IT staff.

This dashboard groups tasks into the following five broad categories:

• Operations
• Capacity and Utilization
• Performance Troubleshooting
• Workload Balance
• Configuration and Compliance

Use each of the categories featured on the Getting Started dashboard to focus on a particular problem or challenge you are trying to tackle. Each category is associated with one or more related dashboards which you can access straight away.

Because the Getting Started dashboard is not available by default, you might need to enable it by clicking Dashboards | Actions | Manage Dashboards, and then selecting the Getting Started checkbox. Once enabled, you can access it from the navigation pane on the Dashboards page.

Once you’ve opened the Getting Started dashboard, you will be presented with all the dashboard groups. vRealize Operations 6.6. also offers the vSphere Hardening Compliance dashboard. The dashboard is located under the Configuration and Compliance group:

The dashboard measures your environment against the vSphere Hardening Guide and shows you the results, along with affected objects, which are shown as follows:

As you may have noticed, the Compliance badge score of 83% is the same as we saw earlier for the vSphere World custom group.

The dashboard shows the High Risk, Medium Risk, and Low Risk violations trend as well as the Hardening Compliance score. You can drill down into the headmaps and further examine Compliance for related objects.

The remaining dashboards under the Configuration and Compliance dashboard group also provide important information to help you monitor configuration compliance in your environment. Make sure to explore them and examine the information they provide.
