As you're setting up device profiles and configurations, you may have two separate policies (or more) that meet the criteria for a single device. When multiple policies apply to the same user or device, they take precedence in the following order:

• Compliance versus configuration policies: Compliance policies overrule configuration policies.
• Multiple compliance policies: The most restrictive compliance policy wins.
• Multiple configuration policies: Intune will report the conflict and require manual resolution (Device configuration | Assignment status).
