My Travel
If you are a frequent traveler who likes to meet up with LinkedIn connections at your travel destinations, then you should try the My Travel app from TripIt. This app lets you display your upcoming trips, your current location, and your travel stats to your LinkedIn network. It’s a great way to connect with people in specific cities to schedule meetings or informal gatherings when you’ll be in town, and for other users to find out where you’re going in the future.
To add the My Travel app to your LinkedIn account, visit the Applications Directory page and click the My Travel listing to open the app page shown in Figure 10.7, and click the Add Application button.
Nothing helps make an online relationship stronger than getting a chance to meet face to face. My Travel is the perfect example of how LinkedIn can lead to offline opportunities!
