Secure Hashing Algorithm (SHA)

The Secure Hashing Algorithm (SHA) is another one-way hashing algorithm which was published by the National Institute of Standards and Technology as a U.S. Federal Information Processing Standard. Unlike MD5, SHA creates a 160-bit digest.

In 2017, Google researchers demonstrated a SHA-1 collision.
