You may be wondering what a clientless SSL VPN is. A clientless SSL VPN does not require any particular application to work except a web browser, such as Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox, therefore making it a WebVPN and simple to use. However, all the corporate resources may not be available to the VPN user due to certain restrictions.

Resources are usually made available by creating a hyperlink within the VPN portal; the VPN user can simply click on a particular link to access the corporate resources.

Some important things to consider when using a clientless SSL VPN:

• Only a web browser is needed, therefore they are supported by most operating systems and web browsers.
• The user accesses all resources via the web browser.
