When you encounter a “take it or leave it” ultimatum, you will be able to bounce back, seize the initiative, surprise others, and always get negotiations back on track. You will thereby gradually become a legend. People will recount your achievements. They will boast of having seen you in action as a negotiator. Your witty remarks to buyers will be repeated and immortalized. Your portrait will hang in the boardroom of your company’s global headquarters. Talented and exciting people will be desperate to meet you.
