In the previous two sections of this chapter, I introduced you to Azure Monitor service and Azure Application Insights. Now I would like to introduce you to a valuable extension that has been available for both services for a short time that is Grafana.

Grafana is an open source, feature-rich metrics dashboard and graph editor for more than 30 data sources (including Azure Monitor and Azure Application Insights).

With Grafana, you can query, visualize, or simply view your metrics, no matter where they are stored. You can create, explore, and share dashboards with your team.
