In this chapter, we learned how to configure our environment by creating a simple project using the seam-gen tool, adding support to Seam and Facelets. Also, we had a look at the manual configuration for the RichFaces libraries and started understanding the IDE, which we can use while developing with this framework.

In the next chapter, we'll create a simple example to see how all of these things work in practice.
