Due to a Firefox update, the Proxmox GUI may become non-responsive, even after successful login. In Firefox, on the address bar, type about:config.

On the search bar, type touch and find the following entry:

dom.w3c_touch_events.enabled

Change the value to 0 and try to log in to the GUI again.
