By default, Proxmox creates the PAM and PVE authentication realm. Through this menu, we can create a new authentication realm, such as LDAP and an Active Directory server. We can also configure two-factor authentication from this menu. The following screenshot shows the authentication menu with options to add two-factor authentication for a PAM realm:
