Since Arduino Mega is working on 5V, it cannot control our motors and produce their max speed. Thus, we need a shield named Motor shield by Adafruit that we will plug it over our Arduino and use its libraries to control the motors, as we will see in the programming topic of this chapter. The shield that we will use is as follows:

It can control up to 4 DC motors and two servos if needed. For this project, we will control two DC motors, and the servo will be controlled directly from the Arduino mega board.
