Web browsers are application software used to retrieve, transmit, or process information using the World Wide Web (WWW) protocol. In simple words, they send requests to web servers and display the response received from the web server.
Most of the time, we use graphical web browsers such as Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, and so on, however, sometimes we do not have graphical environment and we still need to access websites. In those situations, we can use non-graphical browsers such as Lynx, elinks, W3M, and so on.
