Common data model

This is also a part of data architecture, which, basically, describes the data model to be used across the span of SOA-wide services. The common data model is defined and synchronized between persistent storage (database) and the message schemas travelling throughout the SOA services.

Common data model also includes transformations to and from various other data models depending on the outward and inward interfaces from systems outside SOA or legacy systems. Transformations can be dynamic at runtime, ETL scheduled, or could be offline, triggered by external processes in a batch conversion manner.
