Leg Circles

Rotating your legs can strengthen your glutes, hip muscles, and core. This exercise can also improve pelvic stability—the pelvic muscles are strong and able to prevent excessive movement from destabilizing the balance of joints.Pelvic stability helps stabilize your spine and prevents injury.

1 Lie on your right side on the floor with your legs stacked. Extend your right arm toward the top of the mat and rest your head on your right biceps. Place your left hand flat on the floor.

2 Raise your left leg and trace clockwise circles a little larger than a basketball. Perform this step 5 times. Return your left leg to atop your right leg.

3 Raise your left leg and trace counterclockwise circles a little larger than a basketball. Perform this step 5 times. Return your left leg to atop your right leg. Repeat these steps on your left side.
