This part of the book addresses the planning and management of testing projects. Chapter 15, Test Planning, Management, and Execution, addresses the common project management aspects of testing projects such as planning, risk management, estimation, tracking, and reporting, etc. This also provides checklists and templates to address the various aspects of planning and executing testing projects. Chapter 16, Test Automation, address the issues, challenges, and some solutions to automate testing functions. Well planned and executed automation is a key to address some of the perceptions discussed in People Issues and to achieve organizational efficiency. The final chapter of the book, Chapter 17, discusses the various metrics that are relevant to track and improve testing projects. These measurements augment the planning and automation to be the enabler for effective testing in the organization.
