José Scaglione is an Argentinean graphic and multimedia
designer. He was born in Rosario, Argentina, where he studied
undergraduate graphic design and postgraduate studies in
multimedia. Scaglione graduated from the master’s program
in typeface design at the University of Reading () in the
United Kingdom.
Since , he has had his own design studio, where he
manages editorial design, branding, and typographic projects.
Scaglione cofounded Vision Media Design Studio in Argentina,
as well as Multiplicity Advertising and The Prepaid Press in
the United States. In , he cofounded with Veronika Burian
() the font label TypeTogether ().
Scaglione is an adjunct professor at the Visual Communica-
tions Institute of Rosario where he teaches design for the Internet.

contemporary typographers and

(), Erik Spiekermann (),
and Pentagram. The Klim Type
Foundry markets its typefaces
exclusively through Village. In

Stefan Willerstorfer

Stefan Willerstorfer was born
in Vienna in and studied
in Austria, The Netherlands,
and the United Kingdom. He
completed a master’s degree in
design at the Royal Academy
of Art () in The Hague.
Subsequently, he completed a
master’s degree in information
design at University of Reading
() in the United Kingdom.
In , he started the
Willerstorfer Font Foundry and
released the type family Accorde
as the foundry’s fi rst. That same
year, he received the Joseph
Binder Award; in , the
Japan Typography Association
awarded him the Grand Prize of
Applied Typography.
Willerstorfer works as an
independent design consultant
focusing on areas for which
typography plays a major role—

Luke Williams

Luke Williams, who is currently based in Chicago, is a graphic designer
and typographer. He completed his studies at the Maryland Insti-
tute College of Art () in , earning a bachelor’s degree in graphic
design. Since then, he worked for design studios such as Pentagram as
well as for companies such as Under Armour before opening his own
studio. Williams’s work has been published internationally in design
publications, annuals, and books.
