All LAN traffic passes through the list of LAN firewall rules. If traffic matches all of the rule’s criteria, the rule will be executed.
Firewall rules are evaluated on a top-down basis. Thus, pfSense will apply the rule to traffic that matches the rule’s criteria that is closest to the top of the list. The rest of the rules will be skipped.
