How to do it...

  1. Navigate to Diagnostics | pfTop.
  1. In the View drop-down menu, select the criteria that will determine which entries will appear (for example, selecting size will display the connections that have been responsible for most of the traffic), or just leave it set to default to display the top of the pf table:

  1. In the Filter expression text field, enter an optional expression to narrow down which entries are shown. For example, entering tcp will result in only TCP connections being shown.
  2. In the Sort By drop-down menu, enter the criteria by which pfTop entries should be sorted (for example, selecting Bytes will display connections that have processed the greatest number of bytes first), or leave it set to None.
  3. In the Maximum # of States drop-down menu, select the number of state table entries to display.
