Capture childhood moments

Children grow up very quickly and it is important to be ready to capture their special moments on camera. The attitudes and expressions that seem so much part of their character can quickly change. Often a child may take up an activity for a short time before giving it up and, with the passage of time, you are likely to forget it unless you have a photograph to remind you. This could be the child’s first ballet lesson, a special day on the beach, or their first kick of a football. Whether you carefully set up an image or take a candid shot, make sure you don’t miss out on the special moments in your child’s life.

HIDE AND SEEK

Some children love to play up for the camera, while others are more camera-shy. Either way, you will often find that the best time to photograph children is when they are distracted and unaware that they are having their picture taken. The best time is when they are playing games – in this instance, hide and seek. Completely focused on hiding behind this outcrop of reeds, this young girl was oblivious to having her picture taken and so looks completely natural. Once she had been found, her happy dance also lent itself to being captured on camera.
