We’ll use the following tools in this chapter:
- Visual Studio Code: We'll use this to edit our React code. This can be downloaded from https://code.visualstudio.com/.
- Node.js and npm: These can be downloaded from https://nodejs.org/. If you already have these installed, make sure that Node.js is at least version 8.2 and that npm is at least version 5.2.
- Q&A: We'll start with the Q&A frontend project we finished in Chapter 3, Getting Started with React and TypeScript. This is available on GitHub at https://github.com/PacktPublishing/ASP.NET-Core-3-and-React-17.
All the code snippets in this chapter can be found online at https://github.com/PacktPublishing/ASP.NET-Core-3-and-React-17. In order to restore code from a chapter, the source code repository can be downloaded and the relevant folder opened in the relevant editor. If the code is frontend code, then npm install can be entered in the Terminal to restore the dependencies.
