Changing Identity
You love what you are doing, but sometimes you want to try on something new and different. Maybe you want to experiment with an edgier look, or perhaps you want to create a series that is tied together by some WOW factor. Well, then, let’s talk surfaces. If you are a regular gallery visitor, you have seen some of the cool surfaces artists are using as foundations for their art, such as metal leaf, metal, Plexiglas, bamboo, mica and glass. Take your art for a test drive on a new alternative surface using a waterslide decal. You can always go back in and paint on top of the decal. For fun, try some of the surfaces listed in the examples.

This piece has multiple image transfers. It has been stamped and collaged, and I painted on the back side of the Plexi.
