Yummy Leftovers
Our grandmothers knew how to reuse everything, including dinner leftovers. Why not do the same with your art leftovers? Use it again, whether it is the plastic wrap or salt that you used for creating texture on your art. Here are some ideas to get you warmed up.
TECHNIQUE ONE: Stamp It
Take the plastic left over from doing a plastic wrap technique and stamp the still wet residual paint onto another surface.
TECHNIQUE TWO: Transfer It
Step 1
If the paint residue that remains on the leftover plastic wrap is dry, paint some polymer medium onto your art surface. Then, while the medium is still wet, lay the plastic wrap down, rub to ensure contact, and let the paint and medium dry completely.
Step 2
When the paint and medium are dry, lift the plastic wrap off your surface. The residual paint will have transferred.
