Whatever our setup, whether it is by individual working, pairing, or mobbing, we have to work in a way that is sustainable over a long period of time. This means that our mobbing workstation needs to be set up with ergonomics in mind.

The following is what we've learned through our experiences with Mob programming:
- The ability to either comfortably sit or stand while navigating requires the monitor or projector to be set to an agreeable height.
- Comfortable ergonomic seating is required.
- The single keyboard and mouse for the driver only works if you can agree on conventions. For example, we may need more than one keyboard if some prefer a Dvorak to a Qwerty key layout. Try to make the setup as easily configurable as possible and provide options such as a touchpad or trackball as well as a mouse.
- A large screen with a decent resolution, or a projector.
