Introduction

The purpose of this chapter is to explore how you can use Google Analytics to look at how many people are visiting your website, where they are coming from, and other kinds of information.

It’s fairly simple to set up, and it can be a great way to keep track of what’s going on in your website. You can get a sense of whether traffic to your site is going up, or down, and why. It can also be interesting to see where people are coming from. In some cases, you can identify other websites or blogs that are referring visitors to you, and it can give you a way to reach out to them and either thank them for the link or mention or explore partnering with them.

My personal favorite is being able to look at a geographic map of where people are coming from. Very interesting!
