Introduction

The purpose of this chapter is to take a look at getting around in Drupal, at some of the various administration features in the interface, and what they do. First, we’ll take a look at installing a helpful (optional) module called “Admin,” and then we’ll take a look at the conventional features in Drupal.

You’ll use some features more than others, depending on how deep you get into Drupal, and some of the features are covered in other chapters. The coverage in this chapter will be high level, with some comments based on my own experience.
