PROJECT ANNOUNCEMENT

The project announcement is a memo or bulletin that announces a project to a company’s workforce. It can be in electronic or hardcopy form or both.

The benefits of a project announcement are twofold. It gives visibility to a project, and it shows management’s support of the project, especially when signed by senior executives.

• Identify the recipients of the announcement.
• Identify the header information (e.g., date, mail stops, subject).
• Determine the contents, including name and purpose of the project, the project manager, and schedule.
• Identify signatories of the announcement.
