DECISION TREE

Decision trees make decision-making easier by identifying a series of conditions and actions.

They are used to determine actions in response to given situations. Sometimes decision trees become so long that you end up producing a voluminous number of pages. Some people use decision trees during planning sessions in a large room where they tape or paste the diagrams on a wall. Later, the decision tree is converted to a decision table for incorporation into a document.

One benefit of a decision tree is that it gives a visual depiction of all the conditions and actions of a decision. They are also easy to construct and follow, and they may be compressed into a decision table.
