The Next Generation Scalable Processor Chipset
Hewlett-Packard's Scalable Processor Chipset zx1 is the center of next generation Intel Itanium 2-based workstations and servers. It also provides the core of the enterprise servers that allow up to 4-way multiprocessing. A 'chipset' is a set of microchips, microchip controllers, buses and connectors that are defined and laid out on the circuit board of a workstation or server.
