Although a move to an Itanium-based platform is justifiable on the basis of its unique combination of performance and price, any kind of upgrade to the IT environment is often viewed with suspicion as well as trepidation. However, Hewlett-Packard has never allowed a customer to work with technology without services designed to ease and encourage a smooth transition. HP offers a complete range of services to help customers move through the installation, porting, support, and education of IT staff in the new world of the Intel Itanium processor family.
