A ScreenTip doesn't appear when I pause the mouse over a toolbar button.
Verify that the Show ScreenTips on Toolbars check box is checked on the Options tab of the Customize dialog box. Access this dialog box by selecting Tools, Customize.
If you've moved your toolbars or placed two toolbars on the same row, not all buttons might be visible. Click the Toolbar Options button (it looks like a small down arrow) at the far right of the toolbar to display additional buttons.
The Office Assistant is in the way. How do I get rid of it?
Temporarily hide the Office Assistant by choosing Help, Hide the Office Assistant. To turn off the Assistant, click the Options button in the Office Assistant balloon and remove the check mark by the Use the Office Assistant check box on the Options tab.
