MYERS-BRIGGS TYPE INDICATOR

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is a psychological tool for determining personality preferences. There are sixteen personality types predicated upon the confirmation of four preferences. The four preferences are extroversion versus introversion, intuition versus sensation, thinking versus feeling, and judging versus perceiving. The resulting sixteen personality types manifest themselves through relationships, attitudes, viewpoints, interests, and so forth.

One benefit of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is that it is based on reliable research. Another benefit is that it has widespread acceptance. The challenges of the indicator are that it requires considerable training, and therefore, is not easily applied to real-life situations.
