Getting to know your users

Our system needs to speak the same language as our users, not a language based on the technology field. Our users are not, or may not be, technicians, so we should not design as if all our users were experts in technology.

The good news is that the workflow of development teams is changing and the user-centered design is gaining more importance in most companies. If we plan according to this work philosophy, we will have room to learn about our users before getting into the development phase. This will affect the whole development process, and it will be positively reflected in the results.

As decisions are taken with a better understanding of the problem, the solution becomes more effective in solving the user needs, saving costly development hours.
