The following steps detail how to configure the DHCP server on the ESG:
- Log in to the vSphere Web Client via a web browser.
- Navigate to Networking & Security.
- Select NSX Edges and select the newly-created edge: Chapter5.
- Under the Chapter5 configuration, navigate to Manage | Settings | DHCP.
- Enable the DHCP service by clicking Enable and then Publish Changes:
- Click the Add button to configure a pool.
- In the Add DHCP Pool configuration pane, configure the fields as follows for the client subnet 192.168.200.0/24:
- Click OK to complete the configuration.
- Click Publish Changes for the configuration to be pushed to the ESG.
- Next, click Bindings to configure a one-to-one static IP address binding.
- Click the Add button to configure a binding.
- Configure the MAC binding parameters for your chosen virtual machine as per the following screenshot:
- Click OK to complete the configuration.
- Click Publish Changes for them to be pushed to the ESG.
