The following steps detail how to create a Universal Distributed Firewall rule and Universal Firewall Section:
- Navigate to Networking & Security | Firewall.
- Ensure the NSX Manager selected is Primary | 192.168.110.42.
- Choose a section and click the Add folder icon:
- Type in the name Universal-Firewall-Rules.
- Check Mark this section for Universal Synchronization and click Save:
- Select the newly created section and click the Add icon:
- Click the Source field and the Edit icon.
- Move the IP set web-01a to the Selected Objects field and click OK:
- Click the Destination field and the Edit icon.
- Move the IP set web-01a to the Selected Objects field and click OK:
- Click the Action field and the Edit icon.
- Change the Action to Block and click Save:
