The following steps detail how to create a universal logical switch:
- Log into the vSphere web client,
- Navigate to Networking & Security | Logical Switches.
- Ensure the NSX Manager selected is Primary.
- Click Add.
- Type the Name as Universal-Web-Logical-Switch.
- Click Change on Transport Zone.
- Select Universal-Transport-Zone and click OK.
- Ensure Replication mode is set to Unicast to match the replication mode of the previously created Universal-Transport-Zone and click OK:
- Repeat for the following universal logical switches:
- Universal-App-Logical-Switch
- Universal-DB-Logical-Switch
- Select the Secondary NSX Manager from the drop-down menu.
- Ensure the newly created universal logical switches have been replicated to the secondary site and are using the same segment IDs:
