We want to shape a simple Solr core configuration to be able to post some data to it, and experiment on the schema we are planning to define without playing with too much data.

If you are writing your own example from scratch while reading this book, remember to add the solr.xml file in the /SolrStarterBook/solr-app/chp03/ directory, where we also create the new /paintings_start/ folder, that will contain the new core.properties file. For the new core to work, we first have to define the usual schema.xml and solrconfig.xml configuration files.
