In this chapter, we have discussed the new features of high availability that is ready to use straight out of the BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0 installation. There is no additional licensing that is needed to run the high availability setup, and it can provide a useful feature when it comes to carrying out maintenance tasks on our BES servers. We also have had a look at the monitoring console that is built into the BES, which enables us to keep a close eye on the performance of our BES.

In the next chapter, we will be looking at upgrading our BES and the methods available to upgrade from previous versions of BES, including using the BES Transporter tool.
