Future ideas for projects

For future projects and when talking about IoT projects, in this section, we will show how we can develop an automatic system. To implement this, we will see the following diagram:

According to the following architecture, we will explain the steps that the system will perform and how it can be integrated into future ideas and projects using wireless devices and can be applied to real situations:

  • The main brain of the system is still the Particle Photon; it connects to a wireless network.
  • It connects to an access point built with an ESP8266, and it can be implemented with this feature. Some of the commercial products have a wireless module inside; in this case, we can develop our own device in order to connect other devices with a small device.
  • The device nodes are configured as clients; in their pins, we configure and install a relay module, as shown in the figure. Then, we connect a bulb. These modules are configured like clients; they are connected to the access point.
  • The complete system is controlled from the Particle Photon. It sends the signal, and it can be implemented. With some push buttons, each button will control each device connected to the client nodes.
  • This link among ESP8266 devices is executed by IFTTT communication; the main device is connected to the access point.
  • The system is connected to a WEB service; this is the bridge of communication among the devices.
  • The access point with ESP8266 will help the system connect the final nodes that we want to control.
  • To send notifications, we use IFTTT and register the devices that will be connected when the main brain sends the data, and the final nodes will receive the data when the service notifies them about the action.
  • The relay module will be activated and the light bulbs will be on or off.
  • If we want to control more electrical devices at home, we can place this module where we need it.
