Overview

This chapter describes the three types of files that you will work with while using SAS: the SAS program; the SAS log; and the SAS output file. You are presented with a very simple SAS program, along with the log and output files produced by that program. This chapter provides the big picture regarding the steps you need to follow when performing data analyses with SAS.
