SAS Customer Support Center

Although the context of this text provides examples of many of the analyses commonly performed in the social sciences, specific questions to certain problems might arise. One alternative for registered SAS users (or their institutions) is use of the SAS Customer Support Center (http://support.sas.com). SAS maintains a comprehensive Web site with up-to-date information. For one option that is particularly useful for novice (and not-so-novice) SAS users, follow this path: DocumentationSample and Technical TipsSearch Samples and Tips for. Here, you can search for information regarding specific statistical procedures covered, and not covered, in this text.

It is also possible to pose specific questions (Technical SupportSubmit a Problem) via the SAS System or SAS in School menu options. To use this, you need to provide an e-mail address to which replies are sent, identify your school or institution, and provide a customer site number or license information. This latter information can be found in any SAS Log file. (See Log 2.1 where the release version and license number are specified in the first section.) Whenever possible, SAS strives to respond to all inquiries within one business day.
