IPO channels can be changed from a script just as constraints can but they are rather more diverse than constraints because there are many different types of IPO channels and some of them, notably texture channels and shape keys, need a special treatment. They have a separate chapter of their own (Chapter 6: Shape keys, IPOs, and Poses) but a different use of Python for IPO channels is shown in the next section.
