Most applications and gadgets that you develop using the various Google APIs are web-based applications. That is, they function by pulling data or services over the Web, which means they need you to be connected to the Internet to work.

But what do you do when you’re not connected to the Internet?

Despite a very obvious web-based cloud computing bias, Google recognizes that not all users will always be connected to the Internet. As such, they’ve developed a way to run their web-based applications offline, without an Internet connection.
