Dashboards and alerts

When we have data, the data should be viewed in the form of gauges, graphs, and so on. In most cases, the platform itself provides support, but sometimes there arises a requirement of building custom dashboard based on the data we get. Normally through REST API calls, we get the data from the IoT platform to our custom dashboards. These are also essential components of an IoT ecosystem. Dashboards must also be compatible with devices ranging from PCs to mobile devices. They also must be in real time. While dashboards deal with data visualizations, alerts on the other hand are responsible for notifying the user of any malfunctions or any abnormalities in the system. Normally the preferred mode of alerts is either some visualizations, push notifications, e-mails, text messages, and so on.
