Services

You can find out the status of most system and package services by navigating to Status | Services. You will find a table on this page that lists the name of the service, a brief description, as well as whether the service is running or stopped (Status). There is also an Actions column from which you can either start a stopped service or restart/stop a running service. You shouldn’t have to control services in such a crude fashion under normal circumstances, but it may help during troubleshooting.

There are three additional icons that sometimes appear in the Services table:

  • Related settings: This links to the settings page for the service (the icon looks like three sliders)
  • Related status: If the service has its own page on the Status menu, it is linked to here (the icon looks like a bar graph)
  • Related log entries: If the service has its own tab in Status | Logs, it will be linked to here (the icon looks like a logbook page)
