Project: Building a Sewn Patch

Build a sewn patch using the Appearance panel. The Zig Zag effect creates the sewn look. This build is a bit tricky as it requires some fancy footwork in terms of getting everything in the right order in the Appearance panel. The cool part is we are not drawing multiple shapes; this build is done with one circle and ordering the effects and strokes in the Appearance panel. The end result is very cool—give it a try.
