About the Author

Greg Staten has been editing, consulting, and teaching with Media Composer for nearly 20 years. Previously at Avid, he was the principal instructor within the training group, writing Avid’s effects and finishing course books, and speaking and consulting on editing around the world. Later he became the senior product designer for Avid Media Composer and Avid Symphony. Currently at HP, he oversees HP’s color critical displays and consults with feature animation and visual effects companies worldwide. He is co-author of The Avid Handbook, Fifth Edition.
