There are several controls you can use:
Combo box Like a list box, but you can type in other entries besides those on the list.
Option box Gives you options to choose from (but you can select only one). You can use option buttons, toggle buttons, or check boxes.
Access 97 comes with a wizard for each of these control types, which makes it easy for you to create the controls.
For the benefit of advanced users, Access can create these controls either with or without the wizards. To make sure that Access knows you want to use wizards, make sure you select the Wizards button in the Toolbox (see Figure 15.2). Since creating custom controls without a wizard is rather difficult, this lesson will focus on the wizards.
